When Shirley Clarkson first designed her version of Paddington Bear for market she was inundated with letters from concerned bear lovers, on removal of their boots they appeared to have no feet. Nicknamed 'stumpy' bears these early designs are quite rare. Adding feet to them meant a whole new design. Judging by the look on this guy's face, he doesn't like being called stumpy!!! #paddington
It's finally here, tonight families and fans will be flocking to the flicks to finally feast their eyes on the new Paddington Film.
Anyone that goes today please let us know what you think. This original near mint Gabrielle Designs Paddington will be going along, no doubt he'll have his usual double pop corn and a bag of pick n mix.

High praise indeed and the paddington collective can't wait.
One key character yet to feature in the trailer is Paddingtons Aunt Lucy. Gabrielle Designs released their version of his Aunt in the late seventies and in good condition like the one seen above are hard to come by.
She has bloomers with a little pocket with her specially designed coins from the home for retired bears, as you can imagine finding these 35 year old bears with those still up her kniker leg is quite a rarity.
In the 90's Gabrielle designs now under new management released these now highly saught after replicas.
Aunt Lucy makes an appearance in the film but what will she look like? I hope she is as funky as these beautiful bears, we can't wait to see.
Michael Bond Creator of the famous Bear was there to see the film he said that "he was worried he had let Paddington down" but in the end was very pleased and told the telegraph "It’s one of those films were you come away thinking about it, you keep saying: ‘Do you remember such and such a scene?’ There’s so much in it that’s quite magical. I’d give it full marks.”
This original Gabrielle Bear in his dressing gown has Michael Bonds signature around is neck, looks like it was raining where he was too.

The guys at Paddington have released a new poster campaign via their Facebook page introducing us to the characters from Paddington released on the 28/11.
The Paddington Collective is very excited about seeing (Dr Who) Peter Capaldi as Mr Curry what a year it's been for him!!

This guy arrived at The Collective today from the early 70's (no he didn't time travel like Peter capaldi rather he was made cirque 1972 and came in a van not a TARDIS)
You can often tell an early Gabrielle design Paddington as among other things they do not have the "thank you" on the luggage label.
